Ultra small, and vibration resistant, these reliability driven e.MMC solutions were designed to answer the evolving needs of storage mediums for industrial boot drives, data logging, and IoT applications. Suited for environments which require minimal storage capacity but maximum reliability, the M1100 series operates across a wide temperature range between -40 °C to +85 °C. Offering two distinct versions, both solutions are also available for an extended temperature range of -40 °C to +105 °C.
Tight design, ultra small, maximum reliability. E.D.E. Electronics is proud to present the latest in reliability driven e.MMC hardware. Dubbed “M1100” by storage and security future bringer Swissbit, this family of durability-reliability “fashion” designed for industrial boot drives, data logging, and IoT applications. Answering the call for for ultra-small, vibration-resistant designs. The series offers two distinct variations. The M1100, a 8GB storage based on Multi-Level Cell (MLC) NAND flash technology. The second, the M1700 with 4GB storage, preconfigured in pseudo Single Level Cell (pSLC) mode. Built for maximum endurance.
Designated for the industrial app, the M1100 series operates across a wide temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C. To meet the stringent requirements of demanding automotive environments, both versions are also offered for an extended temperature range of -40 °C to +105 °C.
In terms of hard hardware, the M1100 family follows the JEDEC e.MMC 5.1 standard with a 153-ball Ball Grid Array (BGA) package, offering exceptional power efficiency, robustness, and predictive maintenance capabilities. In addition to its role in boot drives and data logging, it is well-suited for use in embedded systems and IoT applications requiring high reliability and long-term data retention.

Not only that, these splendid e.MMC solutions incorporate advanced firmware features that ensure long-term data integrity. Real-time device health monitoring is available via standard register access, eliminating the need for special drivers. The M1100 firmware provides automatic background refresh for read-only areas and robust error correction, ensuring data consistency even under prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Additionally, enhanced power-fail protection safeguards against data corruption, making it a trusted solution for mission-critical industrial applications.
